Bologna and Parma draw 0-0 in Italian league

ROME(AP) Bologna and Parma played to a 0-0 draw Sunday in the Serie A lunchtime fixture, moving Parma into the top half of the table and sending Bologna five points clear of the relegation zone.

Parma moved into a tie for ninth with Chievo Verona, 18 points behind Serie A leader Juventus, while Bologna joined Atalanta in 15th.

Bologna captain Marco Di Vaio threatened once in each half, coming closest with a header in the 28th that produced a reflex save from Parma goalkeeper Nicola Pavarini.

Parma captain Stefano Morrone exited at halftime and headed to the hospital due to a family problem.

Later, AC Milan needed a win at last-place Novara to get within a point of Juventus, which won 2-0 at Atalanta on Saturday, while Inter Milan faced Lazio.
