Blackburn rally to draw 1-1 at Everton

LIVERPOOL, England(AP) David Goodwillie grabbed a fortunate second-half equalizer to earn Blackburn a 1-1 draw at Everton on Saturday, keeping the visitors out of the English Premier League relegation zone.

An attempted goalline clearance by Australia midfielder Tim Cahill, who put Everton in front, hit Goodwillie flush in the chest and rebounded into the back of Everton's net in the 72nd minute.

Cahill had tucked the ball home from close range in the 24th for his first Everton goal in 13 months, although there was a suspicion of handball from Marouane Fellaini in the buildup.

The point kept Blackburn fourth from bottom, above Wolverhampton Wanderers on goal difference.
